Plain Turkey Meatball Toppers

Small baked plain ground-turkey meatballs, crumbled to top your Yorkie's regular food.

Ingredients

  • 4 ozPlain ground turkeyPlain, unseasoned; no added salt, onion, or garlic.

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Roll the plain ground turkey into small meatballs, about 1 inch across.
  3. Bake 18-22 minutes until fully cooked through with no pink inside (internal temperature 165 F / 74 C).
  4. Let the meatballs cool completely.
  5. Crumble a meatball into small pieces and sprinkle over your Yorkie's regular complete meal.

Storage

Refrigerate cooked meatballs in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.

Portion guidance

Crumble half to one small meatball over your Yorkie's normal food for a 4-7 lb dog. Toppers count toward the ~10% daily treat budget, so trim the base meal slightly on days you add them.
