What an affiliate link is

Some of the product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission — and it costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not. These commissions help cover the time and research behind the site and keep it free for everyone.

Amazon Associates

Yorkiefood participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a way for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon. When you follow one of our Amazon links and make a qualifying purchase, we earn from that purchase, as the statement above describes.

Awin retailers

Yorkiefood is a publisher on the Awin affiliate network. Awin connects us with individual retailers, and we only show a retailer's products or links once we have joined that retailer's programme and been approved. Our first approved Awin retailer is Aniwell (getaniwell.com). Where an approved Awin product appears, the card links straight to that retailer's own product page through a tracked Awin link that earns us a commission if you buy — at no extra cost to you.

For Aniwell specifically, we currently show only a small set of genuinely feeding-relevant accessories (for example a portable water bottle and slow feeders), each with our own illustration rather than a copied product photo, and we do not display a price. We do not surface Aniwell's supplements or wellness formulas as recommendations — those are health products that would need a separate, careful editorial and claims review, and we never present a supplement as medical advice. Prices and availability live with the retailer and can change.

Other partners

We may also link directly to brands and direct-to-consumer (DTC) retailers. When we do, those affiliate relationships will be clearly labelled. We only enable outbound links for partners we have vetted and approved; links to unapproved partners are disabled rather than shown, so you will not be sent to a relationship we have not stood behind. Amazon and Awin links are always attributed separately — we never mix the two on a single link.

Money never buys a ranking

This is the part that matters most: commissions never determine what we recommend or how we order it. We choose and rank products on how well they suit a Yorkshire Terrier, and we show an honest drawback for every pick. A product that earns us nothing can — and does — out-rank one that would. No fabricated prices or ratings

We do not display made-up prices, star ratings, or review counts. Prices change constantly and we would rather show nothing than show something invented or stale, so we point you to the retailer for the current figure and leave data out when we cannot verify it.
