We are careful researchers, not veterinarians — our pages cite their sources so you can check the evidence yourself, and we always defer to your own vet for your dog.

We are careful researchers and editors, not veterinarians, and nothing we publish is a substitute for a veterinarian who can examine your individual dog.
Independent review of our content by a credentialed veterinary professional is a goal we take seriously and have not yet completed across the site. We would rather tell you that plainly than imply a level of review that has not happened. When a page has been reviewed, we will name the reviewer and their credentials on it.
